Borosilicate |
| Silicate chemical compound that incorporates boron into its structure. The borosilicate compounds are basically glasses in which part of the calcium oxide and sodium have been replaced by boron oxide. This substitution causes the glass to be more chemically and thermally inert. Pyrex glass is a type of borosilicate glass. |
