Osmosis

Phenomenon consisting in the diffusion of a solvent through a semipermeable porous membrane that separates two dissolutions of different concentration. Only the solvent molecules can pass through the membrane. That is why the diffusion of the molecules is predominant in the sense of the most diluted solution to the most concentrated, in this way the concentrations tend to be equalized, at which point the osmosis ends.
