Metals |
| Set of elements that are characterized by a metallic link and a series of common physical and chemical characteristics. The metals present 80% of the elements of the periodic table and, in general, they are solid crystalline substances. Internally the atoms of the metal occupy nodes of a three-dimensional network, with the valence electrons shared by all the atoms (metal bond). |
