| Aliphatic trialcohol also called glycerol, is a viscous liquid, miscible in water and alcohol, and very higoscópico. It is obtained in the industry as a by-product of the manufacture of soaps. The esters of glycerin with long chain fatty acids are glycerides. They are used in cosmetics. |
