Terbium |
| Chemical element of symbol Tb, belonging to the series of the lanthanides, of atomic number 65 and atomic mass 158,92. It appears as a silvery white metal, very ductile and malleable. It is quite reactive. It is used in the preparation of alloys, as an activator in imaging tubes, in the manufacture of refractory materials and as a stabilizer of fuel cells at elevated temperatures. |
