| Chemical element of symbol Tl, belonging to group 13 of the periodic table, of atomic number 81 and atomic mass 204,37. It appears as a silvery white metal similar to lead. It is toxic, very soft and malleable. It is used little in its pure state; In low temperature thermometers, an alloy of thallium and mercury is used. |
