Isobar |
| They are called isobaros (from the Greek: ????, isos = same; ?????, baros = weight) to the different atomic nuclei with the same number of mass (A), but different atomic number (Z). The chemical species are different (compare with isotopes), since the number of protons differs between the two, but the amount of protons and neutrons is such that, despite being different between the two isotopes, the sum is the same, but with different number of protons. |
