Graphite

Mineral formed by carbon belonging to the group of the native elements. It is a natural allotropic form of carbon, the most stable of all. Its structure is formed by hexagons of carbon atoms joined with other hexagons by covalent bonds, creating layers. the different layers are joined by Van de Waals forces.
